MUZASAF, is dedicated in ensuring all the Muslims in Nigeria benefit from this pillar of Islam; either the needy or those who have the means to give.
As a result of this; we have launched a new project called Joint Effort for Empowering People (JEEP); where people give N1,000 monthly as sadaqah to ensure that there is always enough funds to meet the needs of the needy and ummah.
With this initiative those who are not qualified for zakat also participate in cleansing their money and eradicating poverty in the ummah.
Also, those category of people who pay zakat also have other means of ensuring they do the day- to- day charitable act.
The needy and less privileged are also empowered to move out of poverty.
MUZASAF, a foundation meant for Muslims care for Muslim's welfare without restriction. It’s an acronym’s for Muslim Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation, provides reliefs for Muslims in Nigeria and beyond in compliance with Qur'an 9:103.
By extension, MUZASAF is very concerned about the categories of Muslims for whom Zakat is meant such as: the poor, the needy, the way forth, new converts, orphans, etc
It is the responsibility of Muslim to care for other Muslims within the above-mentioned categories for social and economic development of our community as well as towards reducing crime rates in the country.
“We must cooperate to reduce crime rates and take care of the less-privileged among us”, enjoined Engineer Mutiu Olajobi, the Director-General, Muslim Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation, MUZASAF, conceived in year 2012 but which operation since 2013 has impacted in lives of many Muslims across Nigeria.

'The JEEP project is a monthly effort to ensure that there is always enough funds to meet the needs of the needy and Ummah. With this initiative, those who are not qualified for Zakat also participate in cleansing their money and eradicating poverty in the Muslim community.
'JEEP project will also give those category of people who can afford payment of Zakat other means of ensuring that they do the day-to-day charitable act while the needy and the less-privileged are simultaneously empowered to move out of poverty towards migrating to proud category of Zakat payer in the next moment.
With this development, it is hopeful that 'poverty level among Nigerian Muslims will be reduced to about 10 percent in no distant time'.
As a foundation that is driving Muslims to a unified sense of belonging, various bodies nationwide are considering being part of MUZASAF on this productive focus as a common front to confront and alleviate poverty among Nigerian Muslims by elevating Muslims' status among the contemporarily competitive multi-religious Nigerian people.
Now, average Muslims know, understand and belief MUZASAF as where to come and collect their right as people are beginning to say, 'this is where I can pay my Zakat for it to get to the needy Muslims'.
The Director-General of M UZASAF, Engr. In less than one year, MUZASAF disbursed N1m besides a special fund packaged for a hole-in-heart lad for treatment in India. Supports for indigents in the academics, widows, artisans among others while future of Muslim youth is being shaped via seminars, workshops and other trainings with back-ups to move them from unemployment market are on-going.
Hierarchy of MUZASAF is fortified with able, capable and trusted corporate people at the levels of Board of Trustee; Advisory Board; Management Team; The Screening Committee and The Administrative Office from where others nationwide is being coordinated by the administrative officer.
